10am-11:30am–cheese press prep
Join goat farmer Paula Tarver in the historic farmhouse kitchen and learn how to make soft cheese, cottage cheese, hard cheese and ricotta cheese. Making yogurt and kefir will also be discussed. Class size is limited to 8 students and most will also need to stand to be able to see.
An optional cheese press can be purchased ($45) from Paula; please contact us at least one week in advance. A cheese press is not necessary, but does make it easier. We will also discuss finishing pressing the cheese at home without a press.
