Farm Camps

New Farm Institute seeks to educate children, adults, farmers, gardeners, policymakers, and everyone in between with our award winning camps. In each fun and information rich camp, you (or your children) can learn the ropes on planting, harvesting, taking care of animals, and so much more.

• Farm Camp for Adults

  Why should kids have all the fun? If you daydream about having a farm or you’ve got land and you’re not sure how to make it productive, then this camp is for you. Get a behind-the-scenes look at livestock management, organic vegetable production, composting, irrigation, and meet others who share your dreams.

• Kids’ Farmer For A Day Camp

  Children spend the day exploring the farm and assisting farmers as they work in the fields and tend to livestock. Young farmers may get to seed plants in the greenhouse, feed animals, set up the farm stand, play in the hayloft, and learn where their food comes from.

• Weeklong Kids’ Farm Camp

  At Farm Camp your children learn firsthand where their food comes from. Activities include planting and harvesting, taking care of animals, presentations from area experts, cooking classes, swap blanket, soccer and air hockey, plenty of time to relax and enjoy the farm!
